Over the past few weeks Kyle and a variety of friends and family have been able to finish up the attic and this weekend the boxes were moved upstairs. Now we're working on getting the baby's room ready to paint. We found some water damage around one of the windows so part of the drywall had to be removed. That's in the process of drying out right now. We'll do the inside repair work ourselves and we're hiring someone to do the outside work of making that window (and the rest of the windows in our house) water tight.

This Old House
Part of getting ready for baby has been getting our house in order. The room that we decided would be best for baby has been used for storage. To get it ready we needed a place for all those boxes to go. So, the first step was to put a floor in our attic so all the boxes could go upstairs. We had a work day at our house a few weeks ago. We were so blessed by our friends and family! There was a great turn out and the attic was partially floored, my garden was tilled, leveled, and lined with concrete blocks, and our garage was re-wired! Thanks to everyone who was able to make it out. There's no way we could have gotten all that work done on our own!
